Entrance

The self-guided tour includes access to the monumental hall and the new exhibition spaces where ancient books, paintings and other objects belonging to the collections of the Chapter of Canons will be on display.  

People with mobility disabilities are kindly requested to contact us before purchasing tickets as the itinerary is not fully accessible.

A walk with the Prefect (Italian)

A special visit in which will be Monsignor Bruno Fasani, Prefect of the Capitolare, the charismatic guide who will accompany you on an exciting journey, to discover the thousand-year history of the Chapter and the city of Verona.

Under the Sign of Theoderic – History and myths of Gothic Verona (Italian)

Through ancient manuscripts, chronicles, and printed texts, we will reconstruct various aspects of the figure and historical context of Theodoric the Great. The event will highlight his political, cultural, and religious endeavors, as well as his deep connection—suspended between history and legend—with the city of Verona.
The meeting will take place in the monumental hall, where it will be possible to view several ancient manuscripts and early printed texts up close.

The visit starts from the canonical cloister, and then moves to the Library, with its majestic monumental hall recently restored.

The last part of the route includes the exhibition of some original manuscripts and printed texts, which can be admired closely.

Encounter with taste - edition 2026 (Italian)

Three events exploring different themes, selected from the vast and varied the heritage of the Biblioteca Capitolare, each accompanied by a tasting in the canonical cloister.

Thursday, June 18th, at 5:30 PM
"Forbidden Reading! Stories of censorship, bonfires, and dangerous books"
A journey through indexes, banned books, and rebellious pages. Followed by a tasting of Kombwine with Andrea Moser, creator of the first non-alcoholic beverage made from wine must.

Thursday, June 25th, at 5:30 PM
"From Oxen to Bran: A journey through the evolution of the Italian language"
A path dedicated to the birth of the Italian language and its great authors, accompanied by wines from the Rubinelli Vajol winery.

Thursday, July 2nd, at 5:30 PM
"Women's Voices, Voices on Women: The feminine in the texts of the Capitolare"
An evening dedicated to the female figures depicted in ancient books and featured among the wine labels of La Dama Vini Valpolicella.
