Entrance

The self-guided tour includes access to the monumental hall and the new exhibition spaces where ancient books, paintings and other objects belonging to the collections of the Chapter of Canons will be on display.  

People with mobility disabilities are kindly requested to contact us before purchasing tickets as the itinerary is not fully accessible.

Please note that from Monday 31 March the exhibition will close at 18:00 (last entrance at 17:30).

The museum will be closed on the following days:
- Thursday, 27 March: closing at 15:30, last admission 15:00 
- Sunday, 20 April: closed all day

A walk with the Prefect (Italian)

A special visit in which will be Monsignor Bruno Fasani, Prefect of the Capitolare, the charismatic guide who will accompany you on an exciting journey, to discover the thousand-year history of the Chapter and the city of Verona.

Guided tour (Italian)

The visit starts from the canonical cloister, and then moves to the Library, with its majestic monumental hall recently restored.

The last part of the route includes the exhibition of some original manuscripts and printed texts, which can be admired closely.

Mozart in Verona (Italian)

Wednesday 15 January, 5.30 p.m.: Sounds and colours from the Middle Ages. From the earliest forms of musical writing to the tetragrammaton.
An itinerary through the oldest pieces of the Capitolare's collection of musical texts, from the earliest evidence of notation to Gregorian chant. The itinerary will focus in particular on the illuminated manuscripts made for the Cathedral choir in the second half of the 14th century. Curated by Valeria Nicolis.

Wednesday 29 January, 5.30 p.m.: Polyphonies of voices and symphonies of notes. The Capitolare's musical heritage from the Renaissance to the 18th century.
A journey from Verona's first musical institution, the Scuola degli Accoliti with the Cappella della Cattedrale, to the blossoming of the 17th century with composer Stefano Bernardi, and on to the stages of the 18th century; between musicians and composers, manuscripts and ancient prints, staves and miniatures. Curated by Ilaria Ferrari.
