From 6 to 8 September 2023, the Capitolare will be a meeting point for watermark experts from all over the world!

We will in fact host the seventh edition of the International conference on watermarks in digital collections, as part of the Bernstein project - the memory of paper. 

The conference, which will feature talks by scholars and researchers from prestigious international institutions, will also include a visit to the Capitolare itself, the Seminary library and the Fedrigoni Archives. The final session will be held in Toscolano Maderno at the Paper Museum.

For the transfer from Verona to Toscolano Maderno, it is possible on request to use the bus (departure at 8:00 a.m. from Piazzetta San Giorgio). Places are limited, with priority given to speakers at the conference.

The initiative is organised by Fondazione Biblioteca Capitolare di Verona, together with Österreichische Akademie der Wissenschaften and Museo della Carta di Toscolano Maderno under the patronage of Assocarta and in collaboration with Fondazione Fedrigoni Fabriano.
